Find out a bit more about the mini and junior section....
Welcome to the home of Knutsford Rugby Club mini and junior section.
A quick guide to the Mini and Junior Section Club
I am new to the Club - how do I join? To be part of the Mini and Junior Section (from the age of 5 up to 16) simply turn up on a
Sunday morning at Knutsford Academy from 10:30h onwards during term time. After a free try-out period,
the next step is to register with the RFU. The RFU requires all mini and junior players to be registered using the Game Management System (GMS). RFU Regulation requires
players to be registered online each season within 45 days of the start of the season or from first joining the club. This simple process involves a players’ parent / guardian
registering their child on an annual basis on the RFUs Game Management System (GMS) and being approved by the Club Registrar. For the 2019/2020 season
the process of Annually Registering an existing player consists of updating a child’s existing record to provide medical information, emergency contact details and
updated consents. Please use the links in the panel below. Once registered please use WebCollect to pay for the membership.
Its really helpful to speak to our child safety officer - Sadie Finn - on a Sunday morning if you have questions about safe guarding or any aspect of the Club.
Can I bring a dog to the playing fields?
For all games (junior and senior), it is important that dogs are not allowed on the playing fields. It is used by children as well as adults
and we must provide a safe environment for playing the game. (We do appreciate its a great place to exercise your dog but we need to ensure that
we minimize any risks to players whatever their age).
What about parking?
Please be mindful of our fab neighbours and park with consideration. We have a large number of players at all ages and limited parking.
Knutsford Rugby Club is incredibly grateful for our sponsors Valley Resource, the WPI Group, Gough Associates and Knutsford Academy in their continued support.
We are committed to supporting the RFU Core Values program. The key elements of the program focus on Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
Further details are available from the RFU web site
Behind every club is a small team of volunteers who put in a huge amount of time and effort to make things happen. At Knutsford Rugby Club we have
an amazing team including our President elect Tony Evans, Chris Edmonds, Russ Finn, all our junior coaches and volunteers. Its important to note that
all of this would not be possible without the absolutely fabulous support of Knutsford Academy. Our considerable thanks to Mike Claddingbowl and
James Routs at the Academy.
