Junior Update

What happens in September 2021
Sunday 5 September 2021 is the first day of the 2021-2022 season for Age Grade Rugby. Please note, if you have any Covid-19 related symptoms do not attend any meeting, event, training session or any rugby activity. Be safe and help stop the spread of the virus.
U6's play at Knutsford Academy starting at 10:00h; other age groups have a staggered start time (this is to help social distancing, parking and club logistics).
We have limited parking and so we kindly ask to park responsibly and be incredibly mindful of our neighbours.

Mini and Juniors

We have more than 200 mini and junior players at Knutsford Rugby Club and new players of all levels and ages are always welcome. Our teams (which include both boys and girls) start from our under 6s up to our Colts and Senior teams. To help get a sense of our Club please check out the facebook page.

A few points to share
  • We really hope that you will find Knutsford Rugby Club a really positive experience for all Age Grade Rugby and we do try our best to make it fun and safe but at the same time deliver a way to learn the game.
  • It's free to try out and for most of our age groups, rugby is normally played on a Sunday morning between 10:30 and 12:00 during term time. Please pop into the ClubHouse and ask for our Safe Guarding Officer Sadie Finn or ask any Mini and Junior Coach for help. Feel free to contact one of the relevant age group coaches - the determining date for all age groups is midnight on 31st August 2021.
Directions
  • All fixtures and training events for all sections of the club are played at Knutsford Academy (its on the corner of Lilac Avenue and Westfield Drive, Knutsford).
  • When you arrive please be aware that our car parking is limited and so please park responsibly, our neighbours are incredibly important to us and we simply ask that you are mindful of parking safely.
  • We also ask that you do not walk your dog in the school grounds under any circumstance.
Other things to share
  • Knutsford Rugby Club fully encourages all its Minis' and Juniors' coaches to be at Level 1 or Level 2 as well as undertaking regular CPD activity. We fund all courses for Mini and Junior coaches. If you would like any further information about any of the mini or junior teams, please contact us.
